Imagine Cherrywood to Host Back-to-School Kids’ Clothing and Toy Swap

By Jennifer Potter-Miller

The 2015 AISD school year starts August 24, and Imagine Cherrywood is hosting the 3rd neighborhood Back-to-School Kids Clothing and Toy Swap on Saturday, August 22.

Clean out your closets and bring the clothing, shoes, accessories, gear, and toys that your kids (newborn-14/16) have outgrown to the Asbury Servant Church Fellowship Hall (1605 E 38 1/2, Austin, Texas 78722), and take something home that are new to you. You can also feel free to drop things off and not take any home, or come without anything and pick some things up. For updates visit the Facebook event page.

Leftover items will be donated to the Austin FreeStore, a project of the Austin-area Methodist churches. It serves the city’s homeless population and working poor, and those who need a place to share their time and belongings. Many thanks to Asbury Servant Church for so generously making their fellowship hall and foyer available for this 3rd event! Contact us if you’d like to join the Imagine Cherrywood volunteers helping to put on this event.
