It’s that time of year again! Get your costume ready and meet friends and neighbors to trick or treat down French Place! Thanks to all the wonderful people along the route who so generously welcome our little monsters.
COSTUME CONTEST IS BACK!
Our kind neighbors at 29th and French Place are allowing us to use their porch again for our costume contest. If you plan on entering, please arrive a bit before 6:00 p.m. so we can start the contest right at 6:00 p.m. and then get people on their merry, trick or treatin’ way.
Categories will be:
1) Best group costume
2) Best dressed pet
3) Best homemade costume
4) Keep Cherrywood Weird
****If you are a Cherrywood business owner and would be interested in donating prizes for the contest, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.****
Donate Candy to Our Neighbors on French Place!
Did you know that our neighbors who live on the parade route spend at least $100 on candy and often run out? I don’t know about you, but because we drive so much traffic to that part of the neighborhood, I don’t get any trick or treaters at my house. So let’s help our neighbors on French Place by supplying some of the candy they’ll give away!
This year Imagine Cherrywood and Servant Church – Austin are organizing a candy drive on Sunday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Saturday October 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The candy will be redistributed to houses on the parade route shortly before the kids take over the street. Need more info? Contact email@example.com.
Or Just Pull Up a Curb and Distribute Candy Yourself!
Who says you have to live on French Place to give away candy? The best view of the parade is from the curb! Find a place to sit, bring your own candy, and set up a candy giveaway station.
