Neighborhood Clothing Swap Offers New Year Refresh

By Jennifer Potter-Miller
The new year is a perfect time to clean out closets, and dozens of neighbors brought their toys, clothing, shoes, accessories, and gear to the Asbury Servant Church for our winter neighborhood children’s swap on January 16. In addition to offering families the opportunity to both unload and refill their kids’ wardrobes, the event serves as a drive for the FreeStore Austin. The FreeStore serves the city’s homeless population and working poor, and those who need a place to share their time and belongings. Organizers were thrilled to donate 18 bags/boxes of gently used items! Many thanks to Asbury Servant Church for so generously making their fellowship hall and foyer available for this event!
