First Cherrywood Mardi Gras Parade

By Jennifer Potter-Miller
The first Cherrywood Mardi Gras had it all! Neighbors in costume joined in as we walked down French Place, and brought instruments, (mini) floats and beads to share. By the time they arrived at Cherrywood Green, the crowd was 100 strong. Everyone enjoyed the magically multiplying king cake and beautiful evening. Many thanks to Emili Krantz for suggesting the parade and sharing her love of New Orleans. I think it’s the start of a neighborhood tradition!
